Trezor Hardware Login

Securely authenticate and sign transactions using your Trezor® device (Trezor One or Model T).

Overview

Trezor hardware login is a hardware-backed authentication flow: your private keys remain on the physical device and every login or transaction must be confirmed on the device screen. This eliminates password-based attack vectors and drastically reduces phishing risk.

Requirements

  • A Trezor device (Trezor One or Trezor Model T) with working USB cable.
  • Latest Trezor Suite desktop app or an official web flow via trezor.io/start.
  • Optional: WebUSB/WebHID-capable browser for direct browser connections.

Step-by-step: Logging in with your Trezor

  1. Open trezor.io/start or launch Trezor Suite.
  2. Connect your Trezor device to the computer using the supplied cable.
  3. When prompted, allow the application to access the device (your browser may ask for permission).
  4. Verify the connection and any address or login text displayed on your Trezor screen.
  5. Confirm the action directly on the device by pressing the physical buttons (Trezor One) or touching the screen (Model T).
  6. After approval the app grants access to the dashboard — private keys always remain on-device.

Security best practices

  • Set a strong device PIN and keep it private.
  • Use an optional passphrase for hidden/extra wallets if you need plausible deniability.
  • Never type or upload your recovery seed anywhere — offline backup only.
  • Always confirm transaction details (amount & recipient) on the device screen before approving.
  • Download firmware and Trezor Suite only from trezor.io.

Troubleshooting

  • Device not detected: Try another USB port or the original cable, update browser, or restart Trezor Suite.
  • Firmware update failed: Retry with the official Trezor Suite and follow on-screen recovery instructions.
  • Forgot PIN: You can only regain access by wiping the device and restoring from your recovery seed on a new device.
Safety reminder: Trezor support will never ask for your recovery seed or full PIN. If any site or person requests your seed, it is a scam.
